HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 54

A RESOLUTION
To commend Reverend Ronald Perkins on the occasion of his twentieth anniversary as
pastor of Greater Zion Mission Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana.
WHEREAS, Reverend Perkins was called to serve as pastor of Greater Zion Mission
Baptist Church on November 24, 2002, and over the past twenty years, has served his faith
community with humility, selflessness, and immense faith in accordance with the Great
Commission written in Matthew 28:19-20; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Perkins gives empowering sermons that are guided by the
Holy Spirit, and his teachings have helped many to rededicate themselves to God; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Ronald Perkins is a true servant of God and leader of his faith
community; he is most deserving of the highest recognition for his incredible service to
Greater Zion Mission Baptist Church.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Reverend Ronald Perkins on the occasion
of his twentieth anniversary as pastor of Greater Zion Mission Baptist Church and does
hereby extend sincerest wishes that he continue to prosper as he faithfully serves the spiritual
needs of his community.
