HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 66

A RESOLUTION
To commend the Oak Grove High School football team on winning the Louisiana High
School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV state championship.
WHEREAS, the Oak Grove High School Tigers claimed the 2022 Division IV state
title by shutting out the Homer High School Pelicans, 17-0, in the championship game at the
Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans; and
WHEREAS, Tigers Head Coach Ryan Gregory orchestrated the dominant shutout
victory over Homer, which gives the Oak Grove football program three state titles in the past
four seasons; and
WHEREAS, Tigers senior linebacker, and Oklahoma State University-commit,
Kameron Franklin was named the game's Most Outstanding Player after delivering an
incredible performance that included a momentum-shifting, forty-three-yard interception
return and a crucial late-game fumble recovery; and
WHEREAS, Oak Grove finished the season with an impressive record of twelve wins
and only three losses; more impressively, the Tigers' record once stood at three wins and
three losses before the team caught fire and closed out the season on a nine-game winning
streak; and
WHEREAS, the coaches, players, and training staff of the Oak Grove High School
Tigers football team are most deserving of the highest recognition for their incredible
season.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Oak Grove High School football team
on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV state
championship.
