COMMENDATIONS: Commends the St. Thomas Aquinas High School girls' cross country
team on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV
state championship
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the St. Thomas Aquinas High School girls' cross country team on winning the
3 Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV state championship.
4 WHEREAS, the St. Thomas Aquinas Lady Falcons captured the 2022 Division IV
5state title at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Cross Country Championships
6held on the campus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, on
7November 14, 2022; and
8 WHEREAS, the Lady Falcons victory gives the St. Thomas Aquinas girls' cross
9country program its first state title in six years; and
10 WHEREAS, the members of the 2022 Lady Falcons cross country team include
11Shannen Alack, Sophia Castillo, Betsy Geiser, Ashley Graziano, Madison Hogan, Emilia
12Lombardo, Kinsley McCrory, Amelia Mistretta, Ava Mistretta, Alexis Pitts, and Bella
13Theriot; and
14 WHEREAS, each of these young women, and Head Coach Miguel Becerra, are
15deserving of the highest recognition for their incredible accomplishments this year.
16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
17Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the St. Thomas Aquinas High School girls'
18cross country team on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022
19Division IV state championship and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that the team's
20coaches and members continue their incredible work and always strive for greatness.
