HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 98

A RESOLUTION
To commend the St. Thomas Aquinas High School girls' cross country team on winning the
Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV state championship.
WHEREAS, the St. Thomas Aquinas Lady Falcons captured the 2022 Division IV
state title at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Cross Country Championships
held on the campus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, on
November 14, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Lady Falcons victory gives the St. Thomas Aquinas girls' cross
country program its first state title in six years; and
WHEREAS, the members of the 2022 Lady Falcons cross country team include
Shannen Alack, Sophia Castillo, Betsy Geiser, Ashley Graziano, Madison Hogan, Emilia
Lombardo, Kinsley McCrory, Amelia Mistretta, Ava Mistretta, Alexis Pitts, and Bella
Theriot; and
WHEREAS, each of these young women, and Head Coach Miguel Becerra, are
deserving of the highest recognition for their incredible accomplishments this year.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the St. Thomas Aquinas High School girls'
cross country team on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022
Division IV state championship and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that the team's
coaches and members continue their incredible work and always strive for greatness.
