Proposed law allows for the correction of errors made by a registrar of voters to a voter registration at any time. Present law requires the Dept. of State to use the United States Postal Service or its licensee to verify the names and addresses of the registrants in all precincts in the state and establishes that such a verification constitutes a valid canvass of the registered voter.
