1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1487(A)(2), relative to revenue bonds; to authorize the
3 issuance of revenue bonds on behalf of the Department of Public Safety and
4 Corrections; to provide for the issuance of bonds for the relocation, planning,
5 acquisition, construction, and equipping of a public safety complex and troop or
6 regional headquarters throughout the state; and to provide for related matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 40:1487(A)(2) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 
9 ยง1487. Authorization of bonds

11	(2) The revenue bonds may be issued in order to obtain funds for the
12 relocation, planning, acquisition, construction, and equipping of a Joint Emergency
13 Services Training Center in the parish of East Baton Rouge, a public safety
14 complex, including without limitation a crime lab and or the state fire marshal's
15 project at Independence Park in the parish of East Baton Rouge, and troop or
16 regional headquarters throughout the state, and to fund the cost of issuance,
17 credit enhancements, or other obligations related to the issuance of such bonds.

19 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
20 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature

1 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
2 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
