2023 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 67 BY SENATOR SMITH A RESOLUTION To commend Dennis J. Naquin on the occasion of his retirement from the St. Charles Parish School Board. WHEREAS, Dennis J. Naquin, a native of Kenner, Louisiana, resides in Destrehan with his wife Karen Charles Naquin, and they have two children and one grandchild; and WHEREAS, Dennis is a proud 1975 graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School and earned a bachelor's degree in markerting from the University of New Orleans; and WHEREAS, he was first elected to the St. Charles Parish School Board in 2006 and has continued to serve a total of four terms; and WHEREAS, in addition to his service and dedication as a school board member, Dennis has been involved in the community and professional organizations as a member of the National School Boards Association, the Louisiana School Boards Association, the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, the SCB Men's Club, and the Red Church Council Knights of Columbus; and WHEREAS, he also gives his time and talents to serve as a mentor and CCD teacher, and he volunteers at the Destrehan Nursing Home; and WHEREAS, his commitment to the education of students and their families will forever be remembered throughout the St. Charles Parish School Board office and by administrators, staff, students, and parents. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Dennis J. Naquin on his many accomplishments and does hereby extend heartfelt wishes for a long and happy retirement.
