CRIME/SEX OFFENSES:  Provides relative to penalties for a person convicted of a sex
offense
1	AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 14:46.5, relative to sex offenses; to provide for a penalty; and to provide for
3 related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  R.S. 14:46.5 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 ยง46.5.  Vasectomy procedure after conviction of a sex offense; additional penalty
7	In addition to any other penalties provided by law, any person who is
8 convicted of a sex offense as defined in R.S. 15:541 may be subject to a vasectomy
9 procedure.

Abstract:  Provides that any person convicted of a sex offense may be subject to a
vasectomy procedure.
Proposed law provides that in addition to any other penalties provided by law, any person
who is convicted of a sex offense as defined in present law (R.S. 15:541) may be subject to
a vasectomy procedure.
