MTR VEHICLE/OFF ROAD:  Adds certain persons as authorized operators of off-road
vehicles
1	AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 32:299(A)(4), relative to authorized operators of off-road vehicles; to
3 authorize local governmental subdivisions and their employees to operate off-road
4 vehicles on the shoulders and medians of all public roads and highways while on
5 duty; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 32:299(A)(4) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
8 ยง299.  Off-road vehicles; authorization for use on the shoulders of certain public
9	roads and highways; authorization for use on certain public property

12	(4)  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, local governmental
13 subdivisions and their employees shall have the authority to operate off-road vehicles
14 on the shoulders and medians of all public roads and highways during the course and
15 scope of their employment.

Abstract:  Authorizes local governmental subdivisions and their employees to operate off-

Present law provides exceptions for off-road vehicles to be operated on certain public
property.
