SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 127
BY SENATOR FIELDS 
A RESOLUTION
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
death of Adrienne Patrice Anderson Savoy.
WHEREAS, Adrienne Patrice Anderson Savoy, a beloved resident of Eunice,
Louisiana, entered eternal rest on May 18, 2024, at the age of fifty-six; and
WHEREAS, Patrice's life was marked by her deep love for her family and
community, her dedication to her loved ones, and her enduring faith; and
WHEREAS, Patrice was born on Friday, September 29, 1967, in Lafayette,
Louisiana, to her loving parents, Charles Ray Anderson Sr. and Joshlyn Veal Anderson; and
WHEREAS, the oldest of four children, Patrice was nurtured by her parents and
paternal grandparents, Houston and Lena Mae Lafleur Anderson, in a close-knit family; and
WHEREAS, her early education took place in San Francisco, California, before her
family returned to Eunice, Louisiana, where she attended public schools in St. Landry
Parish; and
WHEREAS, Patrice graduated from Eunice High School in 1985, and continued her
education at Southern University and A&M College; and
WHEREAS, after her education, Patrice worked various retail positions until health
challenges led to her becoming disabled and she remained dedicated to her family; and
WHEREAS, Patrice accepted Christ at a very early age and was baptized at the
Greater True Light Baptist Church by her uncle, Reverend Terry K. Anderson, and she
remained a lifelong member of the church where she generously supported church efforts,
particularly the Youth Ministry, Church Anniversary, Brotherhood, and Mission Ministries;
and
WHEREAS, she was an avid reader, a talented cook, a lover of card games, and she
enjoyed spending time with friends and family, always bringing laughter and joy to those
around her; and
WHEREAS, Patrice's compassionate heart led her to care for many children in need,
treating them as her own and providing them with love, support, and protection; and

WHEREAS, Patrice was a devoted mother and grandmother, ensuring her children,
Sparkle, Shinequa "Neek", and Cordero Anderson, were well-known and cherished, along
with Deja Malveaux, Harold "Pop" Savoy, and Jontavious Auzenne, whom she loved as her
own; and
WHEREAS, Patrice leaves behind to cherish her memories her father, Charles Ray
Anderson (Paula) of Eunice, Louisiana; her son, Harold Savoy III of Eunice, Louisiana; her
daughter, Sparkle Godfrey (Troy) of Eunice, Louisiana; her brother, Charles Ray Anderson
Jr. (Carolyn) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her sister, Brandy Anderson of Eunice, Louisiana;
her five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and
WHEREAS, Adrienne was preceded in death by her mother, Joshlyn Anderson; her
brother, De'lanzo Veal; her son, Cordero Anderson; her daughter, Shinequa Anderson; her
paternal grandparents, Houston and Lena Mae Lafleur Anderson; and her maternal
grandparents, Ernest Veal and Helen Frank.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Adrienne Patrice
Anderson Savoy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
family of Adrienne Patrice Anderson Savoy.
