STATE SYMBOL: Establishes the official state children's book
1 AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 49:170.25, relative to state symbols; to provide that the "Cajun Night Before
3 Christmas" is the official state children's book; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. R.S. 49:170.25 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 ยง170.25. State children's book
7 There shall be an official state children's book. The official state children's
8 book shall be the "Cajun Night Before Christmas" a literary composition written by
9 J.B. Kling, Jr. and illustrated by James Rice.
