ENERGY: Declares that carbon dioxide sequestration in Louisiana is illegal
1 AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 30:2.2, relative to the legality of carbon dioxide sequestration; to make carbon
3 capture and sequestration illegal; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. R.S. 30:2.2 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 ยง2.2. Illegal acts; carbon capture and sequestration
7 Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, carbon capture and
8 sequestration in Louisiana is illegal.
