NURSES: Provides for forensic medical examinations of sexual assault survivors 1 AN ACT 2To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1216.1(A)(introductory paragraph), relative to forensic 3 medical examinations of sexual assault survivors; to require a healthcare facility or 4 hospital to offer forensic medical examinations to sexual assault survivors; and to 5 provide for related matters. 6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 40:1216.1(A)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and 8reenacted to read as follows: 9 ยง1216.1. Procedures for survivors of a sexually oriented criminal offense; 10 immunity; regional plans; maximum allowable costs; definitions; documents 11 requested by victim 12 A. All licensed hospitals and healthcare providers in Louisiana shall offer 13 every sexual assault survivor the opportunity to receive the treatment provided for 14 in this Section.
