COURTS/MAYORS: Creates a mayor's court in Webster Parish, village of Dubberly
1 AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 33:458, relative to mayor's courts; to establish a mayor's court in the village
3 of Dubberly in Webster Parish; to provide for territorial jurisdiction; to provide for
4 the powers and authority of the mayor as magistrate of the court and other officers
5 of the court; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 33:458 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
8 ยง458. Mayor's court; village of Dubberly
9 A. There is hereby created the Mayor's Court of the Village of Dubberly, the
10 territorial jurisdiction of which shall extend throughout the village of Dubberly in
11 Webster Parish.
12 B. The general provisions of R.S. 33:441 and 442 shall be applicable to and
13 shall govern and regulate the Mayor's Court of the Village of Dubberly, the
14 jurisdiction of the court, and the powers and authority of the mayor and other officers
15 of the court.

Abstract: Establishes the Mayor's Court of the Village of Dubberly in Webster Parish.
Proposed law creates a mayor's court for the village of Dubberly and provides that the
territorial jurisdiction of the court shall extend throughout the village of Dubberly in Webster
Parish.
Proposed law provides that the general law applicable to mayor's courts also applies to the
Mayor's Court of the Village of Dubberly, the jurisdiction of the court, and the power and
authority of the mayor and other officers of the court.
