COMMENDATIONS: Commends Emma Gardiner on being named Queen of the 2025 St.
John Francis Catholic Church's Étouffée Festival

2To commend Emma Gardiner on being named Queen of the 2025 St. John Francis Catholic
3 Church's Étouffée Festival.
4 WHEREAS, Emma is a native of Abbeville, Louisiana, and the daughter of Nicole
5Dugas and Christopher Gardiner; she is a junior at South Louisiana Community College,
6where she is pursuing a degree in nursing; and
7 WHEREAS, Ms. Gardiner proudly reigns as the 2025 St. John Francis Catholic
8Church's Étouffée Festival Queen, representing the rich culture, faith, and tradition of the
9town of Arnaudville, Louisiana; and
10 WHEREAS, Emma is genuinely honored and excited to visit the capitol, where she
11can share her passion for the festivities, which include a fais do do, the Mayor's Étouffée
12Cook Off, a sweets shop, and a car show; and
13 WHEREAS, 2025 St. John Francis Catholic Church's Étouffée Festival Queen Emma
14Gardiner is genuinely most deserving of the highest recognition for her contributions to
15Louisiana's festival tradition and for celebrating the rich culture of Arnaudville.
16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
17Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Emma Gardiner on being named Queen of
18the 2025 St. John Francis Catholic Church's Étouffée Festival and does hereby extend
19sincerest wishes that she continue to prosper in all of endeavors for many years to come.
