COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Louisiana State University in Shreveport baseball
team on its record start to the 2025 season

2To commend the Louisiana State University in Shreveport baseball team on its record start
3 to the 2025 season.
4 WHEREAS, the Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS) baseball team is
5currently ranked Number 1 in the Red River Athletic Conference and in the entire NAIA;
6and
7 WHEREAS, the LSUS baseball team is currently undefeated this season with a
8perfect 44-0 record; and
9 WHEREAS, the LSUS baseball team has already clinched the Red River Athletic
10Conference title for 2025; and
11 WHEREAS, the LSU in Shreveport baseball team first tied and then shattered the
12previous all-time record for the longest winning streak in NAIA baseball history (41-0), held
13by Point Park University, with its 44-0 start; and
14 WHEREAS the LSUS baseball team currently stands only two wins short of the
15all-time longest winning streak in four-year college baseball history of 46-0.
16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
17Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Louisiana State University in Shreveport
18baseball team on its record start to the 2025 season.
