COMMENDATIONS: Commends St. Edmund High School basketball coach Erica
Zaunbrecher on being named 2025 District 5-1A Coach of the Year
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend St. Edmund High School basketball coach Erica Zaunbrecher on being named
3 2025 District 5-1A Coach of the Year.
4 WHEREAS, Coach Zaunbrecher led the Lady Jays to an incredible record of
5twenty-four wins and only five losses; the team reached the quarterfinal round of the
6Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2025 Division IV (Select) girls' basketball
7playoff bracket; and
8 WHEREAS, Coach Zaunbrecher bolstered the development of her team, and many
9of the Lady Jays were recognized in the All-District 5-1A selections; Caroline Lavergne was
10named to the All-District 5-1A first team, and Jillian DeVillier was named to the All-District
115-1A second team; Ava Smith was selected to the All-Defensive team, and Aubrie LeJeune,
12Millie Miller, Kennedy Dubroc, and Londyn Berzas were named to the All-District 5-1A
13honorable mention squad; and
14 WHEREAS, Coach Erica Zaunbrecher and the St. Edmund High School Lady Jays
15basketball team are most deserving of the highest recognition for their incredible
16achievements this season.
17 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
18Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Erica Zaunbrecher on being named 2025
19District 5-1A Coach of the Year and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that she continue
20her excellent work and always strive for greatness.
