INSURANCE CLAIMS. Provides that alteration of a property and casualty adjuster's report
without written permission is a fraudulent insurance act. (8/1/25)
1	AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 22:1923(2)(q), relative to fraudulent insurance acts; to provide that amending
3 or altering a property and casualty adjuster's report without written permission of the
4 adjuster is a fraudulent insurance act; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 22:1923(2)(q) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง1923. Definitions
8	As used in this Part, the following terms have the meanings indicated in this
9 Section:

11	(2) "Fraudulent insurance act" includes but is not limited to acts or omissions
12 committed by any person who, knowingly and with intent to defraud, does any of the
13 following:

15	(q) Amending or altering a property and casualty adjuster's report
16 without the written permission of the adjuster that issued the report.
