PUBLIC BUILDINGS/GROUNDS. Provides for naming Graham Brown Memorial Park in
Lafayette in honor of a living person. (8/1/25)
1	AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 33:4712.26, relative to property and buildings; to provide relative to the
3 naming of public buildings by the city of Lafayette; to authorize the governing
4 authority of the city of Lafayette to name Graham Brown Memorial Park in honor
5 of a living person; and to provide for related matters.
6	Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 33:4712.26 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
9 ยง4712.26. Naming of Graham Brown Memorial Park
10	Notwithstanding R.S. 42:267 or any other law to the contrary, the
11 governing authority of the city of Lafayette may name Graham Brown
12 Memorial Park in honor of Merlin Leger.

Proposed law retains present law and authorizes the governing authority of the city of
Lafayette to name Graham Brown Memorial Park in honor of Merlin Leger.
Effective August 1, 2025.
