Increases temporary and permanent disability payments for volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers, and specifies weekly payment amounts for volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers injured in the line of duty on or after July first, two thousand twenty-four.
Provides tax credit to certain volunteer firefighters, volunteer ambulance workers, volunteer reserve forces officers, auxiliary police officers and volunteer emergency medical personnel under certain circumstances.
Establishes the New York state volunteer first responder loan forgiveness incentive program for the purpose of attracting and retaining volunteer ambulance workers and volunteer firefighters in the state.
