The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act relative to eliminating surcharges for vehicle inspection violations. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 7A of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following:- 3 A penalty imposed for a violation of this section shall not be considered a moving 4violation for the purpose of determining insurance surcharges on motor vehicle premiums 5pursuant to Section 113B of Chapter 175. 6 SECTION 2.
