An Act relative to behavioral health and nutrition counseling.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of section 30 of chapter 32A of the General Laws, as 
2inserted by section 3 of chapter 260 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking out the 
3words “substance use disorders” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- substance 
4use disorders and care and services provided by a dietitian/nutritionist licensed pursuant to 
5sections 201 to 210, inclusive, of chapter 112 of the General Laws. 
6 SECTION 2. Subsection (a) of section 79 of chapter 118E of the General Laws, as 
7inserted by section 40 of chapter 260 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking out the 
8words “substance use disorders” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- substance 
9use disorders and care and services provided by a dietitian/nutritionist licensed pursuant to 
10sections 201 to 210, inclusive, of chapter 112 of the General Laws. 
11 SECTION 3. Subsection (a) of section 47MM of chapter 175 of the General Laws, as 
12inserted by section 47 of chapter 260 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking out the  2 of 3
13words “substance use disorders” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- substance 
14use disorders and care and services provided by a dietitian/nutritionist licensed pursuant to 
15sections 201 to 210, inclusive, of chapter 112 of the General Laws. 
16 SECTION 4. Subsection (a) of section 38 of chapter 176A of the General Laws, as 
17inserted by section 49 of chapter 260 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking out the 
18words “substance use disorders” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- substance 
19use disorders and care and services provided by a dietitian/nutritionist licensed pursuant to 
20sections 201 to 210, inclusive, of chapter 112 of the General Laws. 
21 SECTION 5. Subsection (a) of section 25 of chapter 176B of the General Laws, as 
22inserted by section 51 of chapter 260 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking out the 
23words “substance use disorders” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- substance 
24use disorders and care and services provided by a dietitian/nutritionist licensed pursuant to 
25sections 201 to 210, inclusive, of chapter 112 of the General Laws. 
26 SECTION 6. Subsection (a) of section 33 of chapter 176G of the General Laws, as 
27inserted by section 53 of chapter 260 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking out the 
28words “substance use disorders” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- substance 
29use disorders and care and services provided by a dietitian/nutritionist licensed pursuant to 
30sections 201 to 210, inclusive, of chapter 112 of the General Laws. 
31 SECTION 7. Subsection (a) of section 13 of chapter 176I of the General Laws, as 
32inserted by section 54 of chapter 260 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking out the 
33words “substance use disorders” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- substance  3 of 3
34use disorders and care and services provided by a dietitian/nutritionist licensed pursuant to 
35sections 201 to 210, inclusive, of chapter 112 of the General Laws.
