2626 An Act relative to employment protections for medical marijuana patients.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1. Subsection (g) of Section 2 of Chapter 94G of the General Laws, as so
3030 2appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the
3131 3following sentence:-
3232 4 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, nothing in this chapter shall
3333 5be construed to allow a person to discharge or cause to be discharged or to otherwise discipline
3434 6or in any manner discriminate against any employee or candidate for employment for the reason
3535 7that said employee or candidate for employment is a user of medical marijuana outside of the
3636 8workplace.
