29 | 29 | | 1 Section 4 of Chapter 94G of the General Laws is amended by inserting, at the end of the |

30 | 30 | | 2section, the following subsection: |

31 | 31 | | 3 (m) The commission shall convene a sustainability working group and will meet with |

32 | 32 | | 4representatives from the cannabis industry in the commonwealth to discuss measures that will |

33 | 33 | | 5increase sustainable practices and reduce the use of natural materials in the cannabis industry. |

34 | 34 | | 6The working group will address issues including, but not limited to: |

35 | 35 | | 7 (i) how cannabis cultivators, wholesalers, and the commonwealth may cooperate on a |

36 | 36 | | 8system of recollecting, sanitizing, and reusing returned packages for consumer use |

37 | 37 | | 9 (ii) the development of a manual of best practices that the CCC will issue to standardize |
---|
38 | 38 | | 10regulations and recommendations around the legal disposal of marijuana waste and recollection |

40 | 40 | | 12 (iii) the development of a recollection and reuse program for radio frequency |
