28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |
---|
30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding any other law, residents of the commonwealth under |
---|
31 | 31 | | 2age 19 who are eligible for MassHealth shall qualify for at least 12 months of continuous |
---|
32 | 32 | | 3eligibility as required by Sections 1902(e)(12) and 2107(e)(1) of the Social Security Act, as |
---|
33 | 33 | | 4amended by Section 5112 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, Pub. L. 117–328. |

34 | 34 | | 5 (b) The executive office of health and human services shall maximize federal financial |
---|
35 | 35 | | 6participation for the coverage and benefits under this section; provided, however, that coverage |
---|
36 | 36 | | 7and benefits provided under this section shall not be contingent upon the availability of federal |
---|
37 | 37 | | 8financial participation. |
