2727 An Act to promote continuity of health coverage for children.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding any other law, residents of the commonwealth under
3131 2age 19 who are eligible for MassHealth shall qualify for at least 12 months of continuous
3232 3eligibility as required by Sections 1902(e)(12) and 2107(e)(1) of the Social Security Act, as
3333 4amended by Section 5112 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, Pub. L. 117–328.
3434 5 (b) The executive office of health and human services shall maximize federal financial
3535 6participation for the coverage and benefits under this section; provided, however, that coverage
3636 7and benefits provided under this section shall not be contingent upon the availability of federal
3737 8financial participation.
