2929 An Act creating a scholarship fund to increase the number of medical providers who are
3030 knowledgeable in autism.
3131 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3232 of the same, as follows:
3333 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, there is
3434 2hereby established a scholarship fund to increase the number of medical providers who are
3535 3knowledgeable in autism. Individuals eligible for applying for the scholarship are students
3636 4attending the university of Massachusetts medical school, state run/public nursing schools, and
3737 5schools of state run/public dentistry schools who are either studying issues related to autism
3838 6and/or plan to work with individuals with autism upon graduation. Three scholarships total will
3939 7be awarded annually: one to a student attending the university of Massachusetts medical school,
4040 8one attending a state run/public nursing program, and one attending a state run/public dentistry
4141 9school.
