| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. For the purposes of this act, the following words shall, unless the context |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2clearly requires otherwise, have the following meanings: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3 “Academic year”, a 12-month period of time beginning with the fall instructional term of |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4a public institution of higher education. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5 “Public institution of higher education”, any institution included in section 5 of chapter |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 615A of the General Laws. |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7 SECTION 2. No public institution of higher education shall increase its tuition or fees |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8above the level of its tuition and fees for the academic year 2022–2023. |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9 SECTION 3. Section 2 shall take effect on the first day of a public institution of higher |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 10education’s 2023–2024 academic year. |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 11 SECTION 4. Section 2 is hereby repealed. 2 of 2 |
