An Act to reform housing development incentive program tax credits.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 1 of chapter 40V of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by 
2inserting after the word "units", in line 18, the following words:- and not less than 20 per cent 
3affordable: (i) rental units for persons whose income is not more than 50 per cent of the area 
4median income; or (ii) owner-occupied units for persons whose income is not more than 80 per 
5cent of the area median income.
6 Section 4 of said chapter 40V, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the 
7word "units", in line 8, the following words:- and not less than 20 per cent affordable: (A) rental 
8units for persons whose income is not more than 50 per cent of the area median income; or (B) 
9owner-occupied units for persons whose income is not more than 80 per cent of the area median 
10income. 2 of 2
11 Section 5 of said chapter 40V, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the 
12word "rate", in lines 4 and 14, the following words:- and affordable.
