2525 An Act to eliminate asset limits for homeless shelters.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 SECTION 1. Section 30 of chapter 23B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
2929 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 48, the words “or personal property”.
3030 3 SECTION 2. Subsection (B) of said section 30 of said chapter 23B, as so appearing, is
3131 4hereby amended by inserting after the second paragraph the following paragraph:-
3232 5 A person shall not be denied assistance under this section based wholly or in part on the
3333 6amount of the person’s assets; provided, however, that any income generated by such assets may
3434 7be treated as countable income.
