29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |

31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Clause (4) of subsection (f) of section 24A of chapter 94C of the General |
---|
32 | 32 | | 2Laws, inserted by section 42 of chapter 208 of the acts of 2020, is hereby amended by striking |
---|
33 | 33 | | 3out the words “and accompanied by a probable cause warrant issued pursuant to chapter 276”. |
---|
34 | 34 | | 4 SECTION 2. Said subsection (f) of said section 24A of said chapter 94C is hereby further |
---|
35 | 35 | | 5amended by striking out clause (6), as appearing in chapter 425 of the acts of 2020, and inserting |
---|
36 | 36 | | 6in place thereof the following clause:- |

37 | 37 | | 7 (6) personnel of: (A) the United States attorney or a federal agency; provided, however, |
---|
38 | 38 | | 8that the data request is made pursuant to clause (4) or federal law; (B) the office of the attorney |
---|
39 | 39 | | 9general provided, however, that the data request is in connection with a bona fide specific 2 of 2 |

40 | 40 | | 10controlled substance or additional drug-related investigation; or (C) a district attorney’s office; |

41 | 41 | | 11provided, however, that the data request is in connection with a bona fide specific controlled |
---|
42 | 42 | | 12substance or additional drug-related investigation; |
