2626 An Act limiting the use of prison labor.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Chapter 125 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby
3030 2amended by adding the following section:-
3131 3 Section 22. No administrator or superintendent of any correctional institution, including
3232 4any correctional facility, county correctional facility, penal institution, state correctional facility,
3333 5state prison, or jail, shall transfer any inmate or prisoner outside of the commonwealth; and no
3434 6inmate or prisoner of any correctional institution, including any correctional facility, county
3535 7correctional facility, penal institution, state correctional facility, state prison, or jail, shall be
3636 8transferred outside of the commonwealth, for the purpose of engaging in labor outside of the
3737 9Commonwealth.
