25	25	An Act relative to prejudgment interest rates.
26	26	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
27	27	of the same, as follows:
28	28	1 SECTION 1. Section 6B of chapter 231 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
29	29	2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 5 and 6, the words “at the rate of
30	30	3twelve per cent per annum” and inserting in place thereof the following:- calculated at a weekly
31	31	4average one-year constant maturity treasury yield, as published by the Board of Governors of the
32	32	5Federal Reserve System, for the calendar week preceding date of the judgment.
33	33	6 SECTION 2. Section 6C of said chapter 231 of the General Laws, as appearing in the
34	34	72020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 4 and 5, the words “at the rate
35	35	8of twelve per cent per annum” and inserting in place thereof the following:- calculated at a
36	36	9weekly average one-year constant maturity treasury yield, as published by the Board of
37	37	10Governors of the Federal Reserve System, for the calendar week preceding date of the judgment. 2 of 2
38	38	11 SECTION 3. Said section 6C of said chapter 231 is hereby further amended by striking
39	39	12out, in line 8, the words “at the rate of twelve per cent annum” and inserting in place thereof the
40	40	13following:- calculated as set forth above.
