2525 An Act clarifying insurance liability for foster care providers.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 Chapter 119 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 33C the
2929 2following new section:-
3030 3 INSURANCE LIABILITY FOR FOSTER CARE PROVIDERS.
3131 4 Providers of foster care services for children and/or youth contracted by the state’s
3232 5Department of Children and Families shall not be held liable for injury to persons or damage to
3333 6property caused by negligence or other action(s) or inaction(s) of the state or its employees or
3434 7other third parties.
