26	26	An Act prohibiting body size discrimination.
27	27	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
28	28	of the same, as follows:
29	29	1 SECTION 1. Section 89 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
30	30	2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in lines 98 and 349, in
31	31	3each instance, the following words:- “height or weight,”.
32	32	4 SECTION 2. Section 5 of chapter 76 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
33	33	5amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 11, the following words:- “height or
34	34	6weight,”.
35	35	7 SECTION 3. Section 12B of said chapter 76 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
36	36	8hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 11, the following words:- “height
37	37	9or weight,”.
38	38	10 SECTION 4. Section 3 of chapter 151B of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
39	39	11amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in lines 17 and 64, in each instance, the 2 of 3
40	40	12following words:- “height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established
41	41	13state, federal, or industry safety standard,”.
42	42	14 SECTION 5. Section 4 of said chapter 151B is hereby amended by inserting after the
43	43	15word “identity,”, in lines 3, 187, 202, 210, 221, 230, 264, 291, 298, 309, 359, 367, 377, 477, 488,
44	44	16493, 500, 633, 644, 655, 821, 831 in each instance, the following words:- “height or weight,
45	45	17unless for the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or industry safety
46	46	18standard,”.
47	47	19 SECTION 6. Section 2 of chapter 151C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
48	48	20amended by inserting after the word “race,”, in lines 5 and 18, in each instance, the following
49	49	21words:- “height or weight,”.
50	50	22 SECTION 7. Section 2A of said chapter 151C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
51	51	23inserting after the word “race,”, in lines 9 and 15, in each instance, the following words:- “height
52	52	24or weight,”.
53	53	25 SECTION 8. Section 2 of chapter 151E of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
54	54	26amended by inserting after the word “sex,”, in lines 14 and 22, in each instance, the following
55	55	27words:- “height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established state,
56	56	28federal, or industry safety standard,”.
57	57	29 SECTION 9. Section 92A of chapter 272 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
58	58	30amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 10, the following words:- “height or
59	59	31weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or industry
60	60	32safety standard,”. 3 of 3
61	61	33 SECTION 10. Section 98 of said chapter 272, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
62	62	34inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 3, the following words:- “height or weight, unless for
63	63	35the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or industry safety standard,”.
