2626 An Act relative to advertising for justices of the peace.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1. Section 58 of chapter 207 of the 2020 official edition is hereby amended by
3030 2inserting after the words “advertise his” the following:- “or her”;
3131 3 And further, by inserting after the words “telephone number,” the following:- “email
3232 4address,”;
3333 5 And further, by striking the words “newspaper, magazine, telephone directory or other
3434 6publication of general circulation” and replacing it with the following:- “printed or digital public
3535 7media, such as a telephone directory, electronic or computer accessed justice of the peace
3636 8directory, newspaper or other periodical, or through written, electronic, computer-accessed or
3737 9similar types of communication, including websites, social media platforms, and digital video
3838 10platforms”;
3939 11 And further, by striking the following:- “, that if a justice of the peace uses a business
4040 12card”.
