2626 An Act relative to improving PFML data reporting.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 175M of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3030 2Official Edition, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 26, the words “1099-MISC”
3131 3and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 1099-NEC, or successor form,
3232 4 SECTION 2. Said section 1 of said chapter 175M, as so appearing, is hereby further
3333 5amended by striking out, in line 30, the words “1099-MISC” and inserting in place thereof the
3434 6following words:- 1099-NEC, or successor form
3535 7 SECTION 3. Subsection (e) of section 7 of said chapter 175M, as so appearing, is hereby
3636 8amended by inserting after the word “occupation”, in line 93, the following words:- , race and
3737 9ethnicity, primary language
3838 10 SECTION X. Said subsection (e) of said section 7 of said chapter 175M, as so appearing,
3939 11is hereby further amended by inserting after the last sentence at the end of the second paragraph

4141 13 . The report shall also include details on the annual public education campaign conducted
4242 14pursuant to subsection (f) of section 8 of this chapter, including, but not limited to, employer
4343 15outreach efforts and materials, multilingual outreach materials and evidence of multimedia
4444 16distribution.
4545 17 SECTION 5. Said subsection (e) of said section 7 of said chapter 175M, as so appearing,
4646 18is hereby further amended by inserting after the end of the second paragraph the following
4747 19paragraph:-
4848 20 The department shall establish a publicly accessible online dashboard using updated
4949 21reporting information on the program. The information in the dashboard shall include: (i) total
5050 22number of claims filed; (ii) total number of eligible claims; (iii) total number of claims denied;
5151 23(iv) claimant demographics by age, gender, average weekly wage, occupation and the type of
5252 24leave taken; and (v) average weekly benefit amount paid for all claims and by category of leave.
5353 25The dashboard shall be updated no less than quarterly.
5454 26 SECTION 6. Subsection (f) of section 8 of said chapter 175M, as so appearing, is hereby
5555 27amended by striking out, in line 60, the word “a” and inserting in place thereof the following
