An Act relative to workers' compensation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 45 of chapter 152 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word 'forfeited' in line 13 the following 
3sentence: -

5 "If, as a result of the examination, the registered physician determines that the employee 
6is fit to return to work and the employee refuses to return to work, his right to compensation shall 
7be suspended, and his compensation during the period of suspension may be forfeited.”
