Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 1A of chapter 151 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the words “for a work week longer than forty 3hours, unless such employee receives compensation for his employment in excess of forty hours” 4and inserting in place thereof the following: - 5 for a work week longer than forty hours or for a work day longer than eight hours, unless 6such employee receives compensation for his employment in excess of forty hours per week or 7in excess of eight hours per day.
