| 30 | 30 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding Section 13 of Chapter 4, Section 11 of Chapter 40A of the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 2General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the City Known as the Town of |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 3Franklin (hereinafter “Town”) may utilize alternative means of publishing legal notices for |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 4public hearings that are required by law. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 5 SECTION 2. The Town may permit that all notices of such public hearings shall be |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 6published on the bulletin board outside the town clerk’s office and either: (i) in a local |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 7newspaper, in either electronic or paper format, or (ii) on the Town’s website. The term |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 8“website” shall mean the official website of the Town of Franklin that is operated and |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 9maintained by the Town’s government. |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 10 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
