2525 An Act relative to acute hospital governance.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 SECTION 1. Section 51 of Chapter 111 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof
2929 2the following new paragraph:-
3030 3 All acute-care hospitals as defined in section twenty-five B, shall have a registered nurse
3131 4holding a current unencumbered license from the board of registration in nursing as a sitting and
3232 5voting member of the governing entity responsible for developing the organization’s strategic
3333 6plan, structure, systems, policies and programs.
