[SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE HOUSE, NO. 280 OF 2021-2022.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act relative to Department of Transitional Assistance benefits for diapers. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 117A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:- 3 In addition to any other payment, the department shall pay a sum of $30 per month for 4the purchase of diapers to a recipient for each dependent child, as defined in section 1 of chapter 5118. 6 SECTION 2. Section 2 of chapter 118 of the General Laws, as amended by section 1 of 7chapter 11 of the acts of 2019, is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the 8following paragraph:- 2 of 2 9 In addition to any other payment, the department shall pay a sum of $30 per month for 10the purchase of diapers to a parent for each dependent child.
