2626 An Act requiring hospital to maintain services.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Section 51 of chapter 111 is hereby amended by adding at the end of the first paragraph,
3030 2the following new sentence:-
3131 3 “If any licensed facility is unable to provide the services required by said license,
3232 4requiring the diversion or temporary pause in service of patients on three or more occasions in an
3333 5calendar year, the Department shall immediately convene a public hearing in the community
3434 6served by said facility and shall, at the Department’s sole discretion, consider corrective actions,
3535 7including but not limited to revocation of said facility’s license.”
