The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act restoring the retirement rights of certain employees. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (g) of subsection (2) of section three of 2chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other special or general law to the contrary, any criminal 3identification officer, first assistant criminal identification officer, or assistant criminal 4identification officer employed by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department’s Bureau of 5Investigation, who was classified as Group 4 under the Plymouth County Retirement System 6prior to the transfer of said sheriff’s department to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts shall 7retain their Group 4 classification in the Massachusetts State Retirement System for the purposes 8of said chapter thirty-two.
