An Act clarifying the impact of equitable salary adjustments for retirement purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Paragraph (f) of subdivision (2) of section 5 of chapter 32 of the General 
2Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 211 by adding after 
3the word “law,” the following:- from an increase in salary having resulted specifically from an 
4authorized agency-wide compensation study, review or assessment
5 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2018.
