2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 SECTION 1. Section 5 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3131 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after subsection (a), the following new
3232 3subsection:-
3333 4 (a ½) State officials, elected to the office by popular vote, on or after April 2, 2012, must,
3434 5in order to be eligible for retirement under superannuation, have attained 67 years of age and
3535 6have a minimum of 10 years of creditable service.
