32 | 32 | | 2the contrary, in any city or town implementing a minority preference for police and fire |

33 | 33 | | 3department hiring, Asian applicants shall be considered minority applicants and shall be treated |

34 | 34 | | 4the same as other minority applicants under the city or town’s minority preference, until the |

35 | 35 | | 5percentage of Asian police officers and firefighters in relation to the total number of police |

36 | 36 | | 6officers and firefighters, reasonably reflects the percentage of Asian residents of the city or town. |
