2828 An Act authorizing the State Retirement Board to grant creditable service to James Wright.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the
3232 2public good, the State Board of Retirement shall credit James Wright, an employee of the Town
3333 3of Sharon, with full-time creditable service for his employment service already so rendered from
3434 4February 1, 1990 to February 28, 1992 to the 104th Fighter Wing Fire Department for the
3535 5purpose of determining a retirement allowance under Chapter 32 of the General Laws. James
3636 6Wright must satisfy all other applicable eligibility requirements for a retirement allowance as set
3737 7forth in Chapter 32 of the General Laws, and under the rules and regulations of the State Board
3838 8of Retirement.
3939 9 Eligibility for this creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment by James Wright
4040 10to the Massachusetts State Retirement System of an amount equal to the retirement contributions 2 of 2
4141 11that would have been deducted under said Chapter 32 if he had received regular compensation
4242 12during this entire period at a full-time annual rate based on the annual rate of regular
4343 13compensation that he was receiving, plus buy back interest thereon. Such repayment shall be
4444 14made in one lump sum or in installments under terms and conditions as the State Retirement
4545 15Board shall prescribe. Any such payments must be completed prior to the effective date of any
4646 16retirement allowance requested.
