| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 29 | 29 | | 1 Paragraph (g) of subdivision (2) of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, is hereby |

| 30 | 30 | | 2amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new paragraph:- |

| 31 | 31 | | 3 The Massachusetts Port Authority may elect to improve the retirement group |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4classification for any group of law enforcement employees who are members of the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5Massachusetts Port Authority Retirement System by a majority vote of the authority governing |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6board. Nothing in this act shall be construed as authorization to diminish the retirement benefits |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7of public employees by placing any group of employees in a lower group of classification. |
