27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |

29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 7 of chapter 4 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 |
---|
30 | 30 | | 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new paragraph:- |
---|
31 | 31 | | 3 “Sixtieth “Police officer”, “policeman”, or “permanent member of a police force”, shall |
---|
32 | 32 | | 4include without limitation, any police officer appointed by the University of Massachusetts, |
---|
33 | 33 | | 5Environmental police, Massport police, and campus police officers of the state colleges and |
---|
34 | 34 | | 6universities. |

35 | 35 | | 7 SECTION 2. Section 94 of chapter 32, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting |

36 | 36 | | 8after the words “Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority,” the following words:- or of the |
---|
37 | 37 | | 9University of Massachusetts police department, Environmental police, Massport police, and |
---|
38 | 38 | | 10campus police officers of the state colleges and universities. |

39 | 39 | | 11 SECTION 3. Section 111F of chapter 41of the General Laws, is hereby amended by |

40 | 40 | | 12inserting after the word:- “General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport, and members 2 of 2 |

41 | 41 | | 13of the Massachusetts military reservation fire department, for the purposes of this section the |

42 | 42 | | 14Massachusetts Port Authority and Massachusetts military reservation shall be fire districts,” the |
