[SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE HOUSE, NO. 476 OF 2021-2022.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act relative to the direct sale of alcoholic beverages for off-premises consumption. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1: Section 19 of chapter 138 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2020 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof, the following subsection:- 3 (c) A manufacturer may sell alcoholic beverages in kegs, casks, barrels, cans or bottles 4for consumption off a manufacturer’s premises; provided, however, that such a licensee may sell 5alcoholic beverages produced by the manufacturer for off-premises consumption.
